What is the share of a partner in the profits of an uncompleted project, if he withdraws after finishing the easy tasks with high profit, and leaves the difficult tasks with lower profit?

The jurists differed on the ruling concerning the contract of partnership. The majority held that it is a permissible (jā’iz) and non-binding (ghayr lāzim) contract, allowing either partner to dissolve it at will. The partnership also becomes void upon the death or insanity of one of the partners. The Malikis, however, disagreed, holding that it is a binding (lāzim) contract that continues until the capital matures or the agreed-upon work is completed.
