Is the Hadith in which the Messenger says to one of his Companions, "Allah has commanded me to love you, and has informed me that He loves you," authentic, and where was it reported?

The hadith narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and others from Buraydah, in which the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah commanded me to love four, and informed me that He loves them: Ali, Abu Dharr, Al-Miqdad, and Salman," has a weak isnad (chain of narration). This is due to the weakness of Shareek ibn Abdullah Al-Nakha'i, owing to his poor memory, and Abu Rabee'ah, who is Umar ibn Rabee'ah Al-Iyadi, because he is munkar al-hadith (one whose narrations are rejected).

As for the other narration mentioned by Ibn Adi from Ibn Umar, which includes the names of Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali, its isnad is fabricated (mawdu’) because it contains Sulaiman ibn Isa Al-Sijzi, who is a liar and fabricates hadith.

This hadith has been deemed weak by Sheikh Al-Albani and others.
