What is the ruling on the two rak'ahs I prayed before the 'Asr athan?

It is commendable for one who enters the mosque before the adhan (call to prayer) to pray two rak'ahs (units of prayer) as a greeting to the mosque, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "When one of you enters the mosque, let him not sit until he prays two rak'ahs." If the mu'adhdhin (caller to prayer) then pronounces the adhan, he should repeat after him, make supplication, and then pray two rak'ahs or whatever he can, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Between every two adhans (i.e., adhan and iqamah) there is a prayer." Thus, the first two rak'ahs as a greeting to the mosque are legislated, and the other two rak'ahs between the adhan and the iqamah (second call to prayer) are also legislated.
