How can a university student who smokes, does not pray, hates the world, and wishes for death find a solution to his condition?

Smoking is forbidden because of the destructive harms, dire consequences, and impurity that result from it. It is among the impurities and harms, it destroys the body and wastes money. As for prayer, it is great in the sight of Allah, and abandoning it is disbelief. A person will be held accountable for it on the Day of Resurrection, just as worldly problems are a trial. One must be content with what Allah has ordained, and it is not permissible to wish for death due to a harm that has befallen one.
