Should one make up the prayer missed due to sleep, or should the current prayer, whose congregational time has passed, be offered?

A Muslim must observe prayer at its appointed time. If a prayer is missed due to an excuse, it is obligatory to make it up immediately upon remembering it, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever forgets a prayer or sleeps through it, its expiation is to pray it when he remembers it." The missed prayer must be prayed first, then the current prayer. It is not permissible to delay making it up until its corresponding prayer on the following day, as indicated by the Prophet's action, peace and blessings be upon him, on the Day of the Trench. If there is only enough time left for the current prayer to be performed, one should begin with it and then pray the missed prayer.
