Is it permissible to leave a crooked prayer row and join another row, or wait for a new row, knowing the Hadith: "Indeed, Allah does not look at the crooked row"?

The Hadith "Indeed, Allah does not look at the crooked row" has no authentic or weak origin. It is well-known among people, and a number of scholars, such as Ibn Baz, Ibn Uthaymeen, and Al-Albani, have stated that it has no origin. What is prescribed for a worshiper, if he finds the row not straight, is to contribute to straightening it with the Imam, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Straighten your rows, align your shoulders, fill the gaps, and be gentle with the hands of your brethren." This indicates the cooperation of the congregants in straightening the row.
