If it becomes apparent that the wife is repentant and remorseful for the transgressions she committed, then keep her and live with her kindly. Cooperate with her in obedience to Allah, teach her matters of her religion, and close the doors of temptation to her. If she does not obey you, then discipline her by lawful means.

However, if suspicion arises from her and she returns to such reprehensible actions, then it is not appropriate to keep her. Rather, the correct course of action is to divorce her, because keeping her might lead to a deficiency in the man's religion and corrupt his bed.
