Did the Prophet Jesus, upon him be peace, stipulate that the blind or the leper embrace Islam when he healed them by God's permission, and what is the wisdom behind his stipulating or not stipulating it?

Jesus (peace be upon him) used to cure the sick through prayer, provided they believed in his message. Their number could reach fifty thousand a day. The wisdom behind this condition is that the primary mission of the messengers is to invite people to monotheism and to embrace Islam, in order to save them from polytheism and hellfire.
