Is it permissible to study civics which addresses concepts such as the powers of parliament and the supreme court, and presidential immunity?

Studying these matters to ascertain their conformity or contradiction with Islamic law is permissible. The ruling on terminology varies depending on its intended meaning. Ambiguous phrases that can bear both truth and falsehood are neither accepted nor rejected until their intended meaning is clarified. If the intended meaning conforms to the Sacred Law, then there is no harm in learning the subject matter. If it contradicts it, then it is not permissible to learn it except with a clear statement of its contradiction. And for one who is compelled to learn something of this, there is no blame upon him if he adheres to the Islamic regulations and is safe from the influence of those ideas.
