What is incumbent upon a pilgrim who experienced janabah on the night of Arafah and proceeded with his Hajj until its completion and returned to his country?

He must repeat all the prayers he performed without purification, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "(Allah does not accept prayer without purification)." He must also repeat the Tawaf al-Ifadah (circumambulation of outpouring) because he performed it while in a state of janabah (major ritual impurity), and a person in a state of janabah is forbidden from staying in the mosque, as Allah Almighty says: "And not while junub, except as wayfarers." Therefore, if he is married, he must avoid his family until he returns to Mecca and performs Tawaf al-Ifadah. He should then assume ihram for Umrah from the miqat, perform tawaf and sa'y, and shorten his hair, after which he performs Tawaf al-Ifadah. In addition to all this, he must repent to Allah by regretting what he has done and resolving not to return to such an act.
