Is a mother held accountable for cursing and insulting her children, stealing their belongings, and attempting to damage their reputation, or is she not held accountable for her actions by virtue of being a mother?

The rights of parents are great, especially those of the mother. Her right is not forfeited by her bad character, immorality, or disbelief. What the daughter suffers from harsh treatment does not affect the mother's right. Patience and seeking reward are obligatory, remembering her patience in raising her. The mother should avoid supplicating against her children, for the parent's supplication against their child is answered, and the Prophet prohibited supplicating for anything but good. What the mother takes from her daughter's belongings is not considered theft if she is in need and not extravagant. The relationship with the mother must be improved, for in this lies the good of this world and the hereafter.
