What is the ruling on working in a mixed-gender environment with conversations with men, and how can one get rid of the love of sins and attachment to immodest display and strange men, and increase piety to endure hardships for the sake of Allah?

Allah is Oft-Forgiving, He accepts repentance, and He has forbidden despairing of His mercy. However, He is also severe in punishment. A servant must hasten to repent before it is too late. It is forbidden to continue in work that causes fitnah (strife/temptation) and harms religion and reputation. Applying kohl in front of men is haram (forbidden) because it increases fitnah. Sitting with men and befriending them is forbidden and a precursor to zina (fornication/adultery). This work must be abandoned immediately seeking Allah's pleasure, for whoever gives up something for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better.
