Is it necessary to drink water while sitting and facing the Qibla?

It is permissible for a person to drink while standing or sitting, and sitting is preferable. No specific hadith has been reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, regarding facing the Qiblah when drinking, and the preponderant opinion is that it is not recommended to face the Qiblah while drinking.
