Is the Sheikh's statement that the 'Ad were of great stature (forty meters tall and seven meters wide) and possessed knowledge superior to ours correct, and what is "Iram"?

The immense stature of the people of 'Ad is mentioned in the Almighty's saying: "And He has increased you in stature abundantly." However, specifying their height in meters or cubits (one hundred cubits for their tallest and sixty for their shortest) has no proof and may be derived from the Isra'iliyyat (Jewish traditions incorporated into Islamic lore).
