The question

Does ridiculing what Allah has created, such as the nose or obesity, lead its perpetrator to disbelief (kufr), and is saying "So-and-so is not beautiful" merely as a statement of fact, without intending disparagement, considered ridiculing what Allah has created?

The answer

Mockery and ridicule of people, their appearance, and their forms is a reprehensible and forbidden behavior, for all of Allah's creation is beautiful. It is not permissible to describe a Muslim woman as not beautiful merely to inform, because that constitutes forbidden backbiting. However, this does not reach the level of disbelief (kufr), and we advise the questioner to avoid succumbing to obsessive doubts (waswasah) concerning matters of disbelief.
