Do you mean by the noble verse "And know that whatever you take as spoils of war – then indeed, for Allah is its fifth, and for the Messenger and for [his] near relatives" that we should pay one-fifth of everything remaining to us after a year's provisions?

The Almighty's saying: "And know that whatever thing you gain, a fifth of it is for Allah and for the Messenger and for [his] near relatives and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer" clarifies the expenditures of the fifth of the spoils of war. And the spoils of war in the verse mean the wealth of the disbelievers that Muslims acquire in jihad, which is what the scholars have agreed upon.
