What are the conditions for a supplication to be answered and accepted by Allah?

For supplication (Du'a) there are conditions, including: Sincerity in supplication to Allah alone, seeking nearness to Him through what He has legislated, avoiding haste, ensuring the supplication is not for a sin or breaking ties of kinship, having good a presumption of Allah, presence of heart, consuming lawful food, avoiding transgression in supplication, and ensuring supplication does not distract from an obligatory duty.
