Does a resident of Burj Khalifa break his fast at the Maghrib call to prayer in the city or not?

The Shari'ah has established a clear sign for the end of the fast, which is the setting of the sun behind the horizon, based on the Almighty's saying: (Then complete the fast until the night) [Quran 2:187], and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When the night approaches from this side and the day departs from this side, and the sun sets, then the fasting person may break his fast." The intended meaning of sunset is the complete disappearance of the sun's disc, and the remaining redness in the horizon is not to be considered.

The disappearance of the sun varies from one place to another, and each person's ruling is determined by their location at the moment of sunset. Therefore, one does not break the fast until the sun sets from the place they are in. So, whoever lives in tall buildings does not break their fast even if the sun has set for those at ground level, until it sets from the horizon relative to their own view. Similarly, airplane passengers do not break their fast until the sun sets for them. It is incumbent upon those who live in high-rise buildings to observe the time differences in the sun's disappearance between the ground level and the place where they are.
