Divorce pronounced during menstruation or during a period of purity in which the wife was touched is valid and forbidden. This is the view of the majority of scholars, in contrast to Ibn Taymiyyah, who does not consider innovative divorce ( bid'i) to be effective, which includes divorce pronounced during a period of purity in which she was touched before her pregnancy became apparent. There is no blame upon someone who acts according to the opinion of some scholars in matters of disagreement, as long as he is reassured by it.
