Is it permissible to kill a mouse by beating it to death, knowing that this might be considered torture?

It is permissible to kill mice, and it is better to kill them in a way that provides them comfort and hastens their death, based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "And when you kill, do it in the best manner." Therefore, it is permissible to strike a mouse until it dies.
