How can a Muslim woman, desiring to marry in accordance with the guidance of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, meet a suitor in the absence of her guardian due to her family's lack of commitment?

Marriage is a means of chastity and uprightness. It is permissible for a woman to offer herself to a righteous man, according to specific guidelines. A man who wishes to marry is allowed to look at the woman he intends to propose to, without needing her permission or her guardian’s permission. However, it is not permissible for non-mahram individuals to get to know each other (through informal interactions). If a man wishes to propose to you, he is allowed to look at you under specific Sharia conditions, and then he should approach your guardian. Your guardian does not have the right to prevent you from marrying a suitable man without a valid reason; otherwise, the guardianship transfers to another. Until marriage becomes possible, be patient, adhere to the limits of Sharia, and seek help from Allah through supplication.
