The answer

The pledge of allegiance by women is mentioned in the words of Allah Almighty: (O Prophet! When believing women come to you to take the oath of allegiance to you, that they will not associate anything with Allah, and will not steal, and will not commit unlawful sexual intercourse, and will not kill their children, and will not bring forth a slander that they have invented between their hands and their feet, and will not disobey you in [anything] right – then accept their allegiance and ask Allah to forgive them. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.) [Al-Mumtahanah:12]. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, took this pledge from women and the Companions. It is not known that this pledge was taken during the era of Umar ibn Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him. However, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, delegated Umar to take the pledge from women in some instances, which might have caused confusion for the questioner.
