What is the ruling on the inheritance of grandchildren whose father died before their grandfather, and do they have a share in the inheritance?

The grandchildren of a grandfather do not inherit from his son who died before the grandfather, because the condition for inheritance is that the heir be alive after the death of the inheritor. Inheritance is the transfer of ownership, and the deceased does not own, based on the Almighty's saying: (For the male is the share of two females), and His saying, exalted be He: (And for his parents, to each one of them is a sixth), and based on the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Whoever leaves behind wealth, it is for his heirs."
