If a girl applies makeup, is she considered an adulteress?

A woman's adornment with makeup and perfumes is permissible if it is for her husband or mahrams, provided there is no fear of temptation. It is even recommended for the husband and may become obligatory if he requests it. However, if a woman displays her adornment and perfume to non-mahrams, it is considered fornication in the broader sense, because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Any woman who perfumes herself and passes by a group of people so they may find her scent, she is a fornicator."
