A wife must guard her husband's secrets and privacy in all circumstances. Divulging his secrets is a betrayal of trust, and thus forbidden (). A wife threatening her husband with divorce or revealing his secrets is also forbidden (haram), especially since a woman's request for divorce without a valid reason is impermissible. She must fear Allah and fulfill her husband's great right upon her, as disobedience to him may invalidate her worship.
