What is the opinion of Sunni scholars regarding the ideas of Hassan Al-Maliki, such as his statement about the existence of a legitimate companionship and a general one?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Hasan ibn Farhan al-Maliki is an innovator and an ignorant person. His writings contain many absurdities and lies, in which he defends the people of innovation and misguidance and praises heretics such as Amr ibn Ubayd, Wasil ibn Ata, and Jahm ibn Safwan. In contrast, he slanders the people of Sunnah and Jama'ah, such as Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn al-Qayyim, and Ibn Kathir. He goes beyond that to slander the Companions, such as Abu Bakr, Umar, and Mu'awiyah, and accuses Abdullah ibn Umar of delusion and forgetfulness. Al-Maliki has also supported grave worshipers and attacked those who declared them disbelievers. Therefore, many scholars have risen to refute his fallacies and ignorance, and it is advised to stay away from his books.
