A daughter who dies before her father does not inherit from him. Similarly, the son of a daughter and the daughter of a daughter have no share from the grandfather because they are from the kin (dhawi al-arham) and not among the legal heirs. If a man dies leaving only two wives, five sons, and three daughters, then his two wives receive one-eighth, divided between them. The remainder goes to the sons and daughters, with the male receiving the share of two females. The inheritance is divided into 208 shares: each wife receives 13 shares, each son receives 28 shares, and each daughter receives 14 shares. It must be noted that matters of inheritance are complex and should be referred to the courts to verify the existence of other heirs, wills, or debts that take precedence over the rights of the heirs.
