How is inheritance divided between a son and a daughter for a deceased person who bequeathed part of their estate to the poor and is in debt?
The first thing to be done with the deceased's wealth after preparing and burying them is to pay off their debts that become due upon their death. Then, their will is executed from one-third of the remaining estate. If the deceased bequeathed a portion of their estate to the poor without specifying an amount, then they are to be given anything. After paying off the debts and executing the will within the limit of one-third, if the heirs are a son and a daughter, the inheritance is divided between them with the male receiving the share of two females. Thus, it is divided into three shares: two shares for the son and one share for the daughter.
