How is the Absentee Funeral Prayer (Salat al-Gha'ib) performed?

Absentee funeral prayer (Salat al-Gha'ib) is the funeral prayer performed for a deceased person in another country. Worshippers stand in rows behind an Imam, who recites four takbirs (declarations of 'Allahu Akbar'): after the first, he recites Al-Fatiha; after the second, he recites the والصلاه الإبراهيمية (Salat al-Ibrahimiyyah); after the third, he supplicates for the deceased; and after the fourth, he says the taslim (salutation of peace).
