Is it permissible to use a well dug in the house's courtyard for draining sewage?

There is no harm in digging a well on your land for the purpose of draining water and waste, as the basic principle is that an owner is permitted to dispose of his property. However, this is forbidden if it results in harm to a neighbor or if it is in the path of people, due to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm."
