What is the ruling on a man drinking milk that comes out of his wife's breast during intercourse, and is he permitted to intentionally do so?
The milk of a woman is pure by the consensus of jurists. Al-Nawawi related from Abu Hamid the consensus of Muslims on its purity. There is no harm for a man to suckle his wife's breast for pleasure, even if some milk reaches his stomach. It is permissible to intentionally drink milk when necessary, such as for medicinal purposes, and this does not make his wife unlawful for him. The later Hanafi scholars differed concerning a mature person drinking a woman's milk without necessity. We believe it is reprehensible for a husband to intentionally do so, as it goes against human nature and deviates from the opinion of those who deemed it reprehensible.
