What is the ruling on a woman who is the breadwinner for her family working in a job that requires her to remove her hijab, knowing that there is no other work available to her in her Muslim country?

The ruling on removing the head covering (hijab (definition)) is impermissible without any dispute. As for the face veil (niqab), scholars have differed regarding the ruling on uncovering it if the woman does not fear temptation. However, covering it becomes obligatory if temptation is feared. What has been mentioned about the aforementioned woman does not permit her to commit what is forbidden. Nevertheless, if her situation reaches an extreme necessity that permits forbidden acts, then removing the hijab becomes permissible due to this necessity, and the impermissibility returns when the necessity ceases.
