How is the revenue of an endowment (waqf) designated by the grandfather for his offspring to be divided, given that he now has one daughter, eight grandsons (sons of sons), and three granddaughters (daughters of sons)?

Matters of waqf (endowment) are referred to the Sharia Court. If one endows for their "offspring," this includes their children and their grandchildren, males and females, equally. It unanimously includes the children of sons. As for the children of daughters, the more correct opinion is that they are included, as indicated by texts from the Qur’an and Sunnah. However, an endowment for "children" differs.
