What is the ruling on plucking gray hairs from the head, and what is the ruling on plucking hair from the back?

It is disliked to pluck grey hairs from the head or beard, because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Do not pluck out grey hairs, for indeed, there is no Muslim who ages a grey hair in Islam except that it will be a light for him on the Day of Resurrection." The Shafi'is, Malikis, Hanbalis, and others have all held the view that plucking grey hairs is disliked.
