Is it permissible for a man to demand his wife return the gold he gave her, other than the Mahr, in exchange for him returning her remaining rights?

If a man gives his wife gold with the intention of a gift, the gold becomes her property, and it is forbidden for him to revoke his gift, due to the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "The one who revokes his gift is like a dog that vomits and then returns to its vomit." However, if he gives her the gold as a loan, it remains his property and he has the right to reclaim it.
