Is it permissible for a pilgrim in ihram to dry his hand with a towel while covering it with sewn clothing?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
There is no blame upon the pilgrim in drying his hands or other body parts with a towel. This is not from the prohibited wearing of sewn clothing, for the prohibited sewn clothing is that which is sewn to fit the limbs. It is not intended to mean anything that contains sewing absolutely. Using a towel is permissible except for drying the head because the pilgrim is prohibited from covering his head.
