Tafsir al-Jalalayn is beneficial and of great stature, yet it contains errors related to the interpretation of the verses concerning Allah's attributes according to the Ash'ari method, restricting general meanings to some of their particulars, and including some Isra'iliyyat (narrations from Jewish sources). Sheikh Muhammad Abd al-Rahman al-Khamis has compiled these errors in his book "Anwar al-Hilalayn fi al-Ta'aqqubat 'ala al-Jalalayn."
