Is there a difference between naming someone (Yaseen) and naming someone (Yasin)?

The preponderant view is that the word "Yasin" is not among the names of Allah the Almighty, because the names of Allah are tawqifiyyah (revealed and not subject to human reasoning), and it is not permissible to derive them except through what has been explicitly stated in a text. There is no authentic text indicating that it is among the names of Allah.

Moreover, all of Allah's names are derived (mushtaqqah) and not immutable (jamidah), unlike the word "Yasin" which is immutable. As for what was narrated from Ibn Abbas, that it is among the names of Allah, it is a munkar (denounced/rejected) narration.
