What should I recite after Al-Fatihah in the 'Isha prayer when the Imam recites aloud: should I listen or recite?

It should be noted that the phrase "I hope from God and from you" is considered minor shirk (associating partners with God), based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) words to one who said, "What God wills and you will": "Have you made me an equal to God? Rather, it is what God alone wills." It is permissible to say, "What God wills then you will" and "I hope from God then from you"; because "then" (thumma) implies sequence, unlike "and" (wa) which implies equality.

As for the congregant reciting Al-Fatiha in a loud prayer, there is a difference of opinion on this. However, according to those who obligate it, the congregant should listen after Al-Fatiha to the Imam's recitation and not recite anything else. In a silent prayer, the congregant recites Al-Fatiha and whatever else is easy for them from the Qur'an.
