What is the truth behind the saying that Allah has saints such that "if they willed, Allah willed"?

The phrase "The will of the Friends of Allah is never rejected" has no basis, and its meaning is incorrect, for the will of the servant is subject to the will of Allah Almighty: "And you do not will except that Allah wills." Allah protects His Friends who hope in Him, fear Him, and strive for His pleasure, and He destroys their enemies. Their oath may be fulfilled if they swear by Him, as mentioned in the hadith about Al-Bara' ibn Malik.
