Is supplicating with "O Allah, show us a black day upon them" considered a form of reviling time?

This supplication is not authentically transmitted (ma'thur), but there is no harm in supplicating with these words. Describing the day as one of hardship and distress is not considered reviling time (ad-dahr), as it is similar to the Almighty's saying: "This is a distressing day" [Qaf: 25] and "on a day of continuous misfortune" [Al-Qamar: 19]. This differs from reviling time, which can be polytheism if one believes that time is the active agent, or forbidden if it is a reviling of the place of the disliked matter. The reality of such reviling ultimately returns to Allah the Almighty.
