Why was the Mosque of Al-Ghamamah given this name, and did the Prophet (PBUH) pray in it?
Al-Ghamamah Mosque is the prayer area where the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to perform the Eid prayers and the prayer for rain (Istisqa'). It was named so because a cloud (ghamama) shaded him while he was praying in this very spot.
