What is the ruling regarding someone who vowed to fast on a Thursday and intended to do so, but did not fast?

If the vow was not specified, then you intended to fast on Thursday but did not, there is nothing upon you except to fast on any other day. And if you intended to fast on Thursday and left it due to a legitimate excuse, there is nothing upon you. However, if you vowed to fast on Thursday and left it without an excuse, you must make up for it and offer an expiation for breaking an oath.
