Is disobedience to the ruler absolute in any sin, or is it restricted to sins that reach the level of disbelief, such as casting oneself into the Fire?

The prohibition of obeying a created being in disobedience to Allah encompasses sins, polytheism (shirk), and whatever leads to them, due to the generality of the Muslim Hadith: "Upon a Muslim is to listen and obey in what he likes and dislikes, unless he is commanded to commit a sin. If he is commanded to commit a sin, then there is no listening and no obedience." This is what Ibn Hajar, Al-Nawawi, and Al-Manawi affirmed.
