The answer

A woman must be modest when in the presence of non-mahram men, ensuring no part of her body is visible. As for her nakedness (awrah) before other women, it is from the navel to the knee. However, it is not permissible for her to appear in women's gatherings with her chest or back uncovered. Rather, her attire should be modest and ample, reflecting her shyness and dignity. Nothing should be visible except what typically appears during work and service, such as the head, neck, forearms, and feet. This is supported by the Qur'an, the Sunnah, and the practice of the female Companions. As for extensive uncovering, it is a path to fitnah (temptation/disorder) and imitation of disbelieving women. Scholars have clarified that what women may show to each other is what typically appears at home and during service, such as uncovering the head, hands, neck, and feet. It does not mean that a woman's attire in the company of other women is solely what covers from the navel to the knee. It is important to emphasize at weddings that revealing clothing should not be allowed, even if it is only among women. Such matters may be overlooked to avoid greater harm, but if men are exposed to it, it must be strongly condemned.
