How can one prepare a varied program for the remembrance of Allah in homes that prevents boredom?

The best form of remembrance (dhikr) is what has been narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and the most excellent of it is reciting and studying the Qur’an, as stated in the Hadith: "No group of people gathers in one of the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it among themselves, except that tranquility descends upon them, mercy envelops them, angels surround them, and Allah mentions them among those with Him."

Among the best forms of dhikr after the Qur’an are: "SubhanAllah (Glory be to Allah), Al-hamdulillah (All praise is due to Allah), La ilaha illa Allah (There is no god but Allah), and Allahu Akbar (Allah is the greatest)." It has been narrated that "SubhanAllah and Al-hamdulillah fill, or fill, what is between the heavens and the earth." It is recommended to diversify the narrated forms of dhikr, and to give the largest share to the Qur’an, through recitation and contemplation, as it is the best form of remembrance and the summation of knowledge.
