Is it obligatory to make up the fast day if brown discharge continues, knowing that the examination cloth is pure white and dry after purification from menstruation?

The fatwa (definition) we follow is that yellowish and brownish discharges are considered menses if they occur during the habitual period or are continuous with blood. Therefore, any brownish discharge a woman sees before her menstrual period and before seeing blood is not considered menses. As for brownish discharge after the cessation of blood, if it is continuous with the blood before seeing the sign of purity, then it is menses. But if it occurs after seeing the sign of purity, it is not considered menses. Based on this, there is no need to make up for the mentioned day, and the doubt about the return of blood is not definitive.
