How can someone who suffers from continuous urinary incontinence and continuous discharge of pre-seminal and seminal fluids perform ghusl (ritual bath) after a wet dream, knowing that the seminal fluid may continue to be discharged for a long period, up to a full day? And is it permissible to perform ghusl while it is still being discharged, or must one wait for it to stop for fear of missing the prayers?

Sals al-Mani (incontinence of semen) necessitates ghusl (ritual bath) for every prayer according to some scholars. However, the preponderant view among the Hanbalis and many scholars is that it only requires wudu (ablution) for each prayer, similar to other permanent impurities. As for the Malikis, they hold that sals al-Mani does not necessitate anything, just like other permanent impurities in their view. If a person experiences a wet dream, they must perform ghusl even if the semen discharge is continuous, then they pray. Their purification becomes invalid upon the expiration of the prayer time, and they only need to renew their wudu when the time for the next prayer begins.
