What is the ruling on wrestling and boxing, along with the evidence?

Wrestling is defined as a demonstration of a person's strength and overpowering another. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, wrestled Rukana, and Samura wrestled Rafi' in his presence.

As for modern wrestling and boxing, they are forbidden due to the harm and injury they cause to others, especially the face, which violates the Prophet's prohibition, peace and blessings be upon him, against striking the face. They also cause permanent disabilities, sow enmities, and are a means of consuming wealth unjustly.
