Is a wife forbidden to her husband if he swore to forbid her to himself if a certain matter did not occur that night, but he does not remember whether that matter occurred or not, and whether he was conscious or unconscious due to extreme anger?

If you intended a promise, then there is nothing upon you. But if you intended to suspend her being unlawful upon the occurrence of something, then your intention is considered: if you intended divorce, then it is a divorce; if you intended ẓihār, then it is ẓihār; and if you intended an oath, or did not intend anything, then an expiation for an oath (kaffārat yamīn) is binding upon you. Nothing is binding upon you if you are not certain of having broken the oath, because the original state is the continuation of the marital bond.
